Tenefly is intended for use by educators, school administrators, and authorized school personnel. You must be at least 18 years old to create a teacher account. Student access is provided through teacher-generated class codes and does not require student accounts or personal email addresses.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You agree to use Tenefly only for its intended educational purposes. You may not:
Your Content: Lesson plans, prompts, reflections, and other content you create using Tenefly remain your intellectual property. You grant Tenefly a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Platform.
AI-Generated Content: Lessons generated by Tenefly's AI are provided as suggestions and starting points. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before use in your classroom. Tenefly does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or pedagogical appropriateness of AI-generated content.
Platform Content: The Tenefly platform, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Tenefly Education Technology, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Tenefly is committed to protecting student privacy in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and applicable state student privacy laws. We act as a "school official" with a legitimate educational interest when processing student data on behalf of schools.
We collect only the minimum student information necessary to provide the service (first name and class enrollment). We do not collect student email addresses, dates of birth, or other personally identifiable information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time with reasonable notice. We will provide at least 30 days notice before making material changes that affect your use of the Platform.
You may export your lesson plans in PDF or DOCX format at any time. Upon account termination, you will have 30 days to export your content before it is permanently deleted. Student response data can be exported in CSV format for your records.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tenefly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the Platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, subject to the data export period described in Section 6.
